Variegata Iris

Variegata Iris is virtually maintenance free. This Bearded Iris blooms in late spring to early summer while maintaining its beautiful grass-like variegated foliage all season. It will grow from 2' to 3' tall and18"' to 24" wide. The blooms of Variegata Iris are pale lavender-blue flowers with a yellow beard. This Iris likes to be planted in full sun to partial shade.

After blooming, the mature seed pod and stem are excellent in dried arrangements. Irises are deer resistant and drought tolerant. Variegata Iris will also tolerate wet soil. Use this plant in a perennial border, massed in a perennial or landscape bed, or a cottage garden. Plant Variegata Iris next to a pond or in a Rain Garden. Variegata Iris is also a Firewise plant.
