Goldrush Goldenrod
Goldrush Goldenrod is a native plant in our area. It provides a long season golden flowers beginning in midsummer and lasting into fall. The flowers form a uniform, compact mound of tiny yellow flowers. It will grow to a height of 8" to 12" tall and 24" to 30" wide. The foliage is a medium green and has no change in fall color. Goldrush Goldenrod likes to be planted in full sun.
Use this perennial in front of perennial borders, containers, or massed in a perennial or landscape bed. Goldrush Goldenrod will attract butterflies and bees. It is deer resistant and drought tolerant once it is established. It is a Firewise plant and can be
used as erosion control or groundcover. You can also incorporate Goldrush Goldenrod into a Cottage garden, Rock garden, or even a Moon garden. It also makes an excellent cut flower.
This Goldenrod is not invasive and does not grow as tall as the Goldenrod that you
see along the highways. It is a very compact perennial.
