Frankly Scarlet Echinacea
Frankly Scarlet Echinacea is a wonderful addition to your perennial garden. The fragrant flowers are large and scarlet, orange to red with a rusty brown center. It has dark green leaves. This selection blooms from midsummer through late summer. Frankly Scarlet Echinacea will grow to a height of 2' tall and 16" to 20" in width.
Echinacea are also known as Coneflowers and make a great show when planted in mass. Plant Frankly Scarlet Echinacea in full sun to part shade. Frankly Scarlet Echinacea goes well in a mixed flower garden, in a perennial border, or as a specimen. Frankly Scarlet Echinacea attracts hummingbirds, butterflies, bees, and songbirds which enjoy the seeds in the big cone heads. It is deer resistant and it is drought tolerant once it is established. It also makes a great cut flower and is a Firewise plant. You can even use this perennial in a container. If you don't cut this perennial down in fall, you will even gain some fall and winter interest from the foliage and it will provide food for birds. Divide clumps when they become overcrowded (about every 4 years). #1 $21.99 |
