May Night Salvia
May Night Salvia has purple stems loaded with violet-purple flowers that bloom from early summer to midsummer. The gray-green aromatic foliage makes an attractive accent all summer long. It will grow to a height of 18” to 24" and just as wide. Plant May Night Salvia in full sun in well-drained soil.
May Night Salvia was selected Perennial Plant of the year in 1997. It is a magnet for butterflies, bees and hummingbirds and is deer resistant. It is hardy for container gardening and provides excellent cut flowers. Use May Night Salvia in a mixed perennial border or massed in a perennial bed. Planting next to yellow bloomers such as Coronation Gold Yarrow really brings out the purple color contrast.
