Kahori Scarlet Dianthus
Kahori Scarlet Dianthus low spreading mat-like plants with fragrant, scarlet flowers with a white eye which bloom from early to late summer. The foliage is a grey-green color. It will grow to a height of 6" to 8" and 8" to 12" wide. It will benefit from shearing back after the first flush of blooms. The foliage is evergreen, so do not cut back for winter. Keeping the flowers deadheaded will increase the blooming time. Kahori Scarlet Dianthus likes to be planted in full sun.
