Sombrero Baja Burgundy Echinacea is a colorful addition to your perennial garden. Sombrero Baja Burgundy Echinacea is a native plant for our area. The fragrant flowers are a light purple with a brown center.  It has medium, green leaves. Sombrero Baja Burgundy in full sun or partial sun.

This selection is a compact perennial that blooms from early summer through late summer. Echinacea are also known as Coneflowers and make a great show when planted in mass. It will grow to a height of 18" to 22" and 18" to 24" in width.

Sombrero Baja Burgundy goes well in a mixed flower garden, in a perennial border, or as a specimen. Sombrero Baja Burgundy attracts hummingbirds, butterflies, bees, and songbirds which enjoy the seeds in the big cone heads. It is deer resistant, and it is drought tolerant once it is established. It also makes a great cut flower and is a Firewise plant. You can even use this perennial in a container.

If you don't cut this perennial down in fall, you will even gain some fall and winter interest from the foliage, and it will provide food for birds. Divide clumps when they become overcrowded (about every 4 years).
