Dwarf Arctic Willow is a dense rounded shrub that has finely textured leaves on long stems giving the shrub a wispy look. The leaves are blue green with a silver tint on the undersides of the leaves. There is little change in color for fall. It will grow to a height of 3' to 4' tall and 3' to 6' wide. The yellow blooms on this plant are very small. Very small berries will follow but are so small they are not really considered ornamental. Dwarf Arctic Willow likes to be planted in full sun to partial sun.
Use this shrub as a hedge, screen in a shrub border, or as a grouping in a landscape bed. Dwarf Arctic Willow takes shearing well. You can shear it flat on the sides and top for a hedge or shear it into a ball. If you allow the branches to grow, they will wave in the wind.
