Goldmound Spirea is a rounded shrub whose leaves change through the season. In spring, the new growth is a reddish color that quickly changes to a yellow-green and finally changes to a lime green color once summer arrives. This shrub will grow to a height of 1' to 2' and 2' to 3' wide.
It blooms between in late spring to early summer, offering clusters of light pink flowers. Deadheading will produce more blooms later in the summer. Goldmound Spirea is drought tolerant once it is established. Use this shrub as a low hedge bordering a walkway or patio, foundation planting, or as a grouping in a landscape bed. This shrub attracts birds, and butterflies. It is deer
resistant and is also a Firewise plant. Try this one in a Moon Garden.
