Scotch Broom is a low growing semi-evergreen shrub that has brilliant yellow blossoms in the summer. The stems are covered with the bright yellow blossoms. It will grow from 1' to 2' tall and 3' to 4' wide. Plant in full sun and well drained soil. It has light green leaves with no significant fall color.
Scotch Broom is drought tolerant when mature and will work well in a hedge or planted as a single plant or massed in a landscape bed. Scotch Broom will tolerate being planted in poor soil. This is a very beautiful plant when in full bloom.
