Blue Flax
Blue Flax is a beautiful native perennial that performs especially well in hot, sunny areas. This is a compact selection that forms a bushy mound of small, ferny green leaves growing from 10" to 12" in height and 18" t0 24" in width.
It produces loads of small sky-blue flowers for several weeks from late spring till around midsummer. The flowers will attract butterflies. Trim plants back in midsummer to encourage repeat blooming in the fall.
Use Blue Flax for edging, in the rock garden, cottage garden, or in mixed containers. you can also use it for naturalizing in a meadow situation. Blue Flax is a short-lived
plant but usually will self-seed. It is drought tolerant once established and is a
