Baby Tears Sedum
Baby Tears Sedum is a great ground cover with shades of red tones in midsummer and fall. The green leaves are rounded and bunched together like tiny beads. Around midsummer, the leaves will begin to take on red tones and last through the fall. It will stay semi-evergreen through the winter. In midsummer, tiny white flowers will appear which will attract butterflies. It will grow to a height of 1" to 4" tall and 10" to 12" wide. Plant Baby Tears Sedum in full sun or partial shade in well drained soil.
Use Baby Tears Sedum in a Rock Garden, Miniature Garden, Moon Garden, as a ground cover, spilling over a rock wall, in between flagstones, or in a container. It is deer resistant and becomes drought tolerant once it is established. Baby Tears Sedum is also a great lawn substitute. It will tolerate light to moderate foot traffic.
