Red Charm Peony
Red Charm Peony is a fast growing peony. It has giant ruffled wine-red blooms that will bloom from mid spring through early summer. Strong stems support the giant blooms, up to 10" across, so you'll never need to fuss with staking. It will grow from 2' to 3' tall and just as wide.
Red Charm Peony will bloom from late spring to early summer. This peony has a mild fragrance. Plant Red Charm Peony in full sun and moist, well drained soil. When in flower, it will attract butterflies, hummingbirds, and bees. It makes a great fragrant cut flower for an indoor table vase that will last for weeks. For an interesting display of the flowers, cut one about an inch from the bloom and float it in a bowl of water.
Peonies are also deer resistant. Plant Red Charm Peony in a Cottage Garden, as a specimen, or in a perennial border. Mulch heavily in the fall to protect the roots.
