Laced Up Elderberry
Laced Up Elderberry is a very unique plant. Similar to the Black Beauty Elderberry except the leaves on this plant are feathery, almost lace-like. The leaf color is a dark purple foliage that is adorned in early summer with pink blossoms which jump against the backdrop of dark purple foliage.
Clusters of black-purple berries develop in the summer when planted with Black Lace Elderberry or Black Beauty Elderberry. These berries make great jam, pies, and wine. Birds are attracted to the berries. Place bird netting over the shrub to protect the berries if you wish to harvest the berries. Elderberries are high in antioxidants, vitamins and other nutritional value. Laced Up Elderberry likes to be planted in full sun to part shade. It will grow up to 10' tall but only 3' to 4' wide. Use it as a specimen shrub, train it into a small tree, use for naturalizing, or use it in tight areas. This will surely give your garden an exotic, tropical appeal. Laced Up Elderberry is a Proven Winners plant. #2 $44.99 |
