Common Snowberry is a native shrub that can grow 2' to 5' tall and 4' to 6' wide. It has white blossoms in late spring which produce white berries. Birds are attracted to the berries. The leaves can be from light green to dark green which turn yellow in the fall. The bark will peel making it an interesting sight in winter. Common Snowberry likes to be planted in full sun or partial sun.
Use this shrub as an accent plant, hedge, in a shrub border, as a specimen or in a Moon Garden. The berries make an excellent cut flower for arrangements. Common Snowberry attracts wildlife, songbirds, butterflies, hummingbirds, bees, is drought tolerant, deer resistant and a Firewise plant. Common Snowberry is a native shrub in our area.
