Sunstruck Sunflower
Sunstruck False Sunflower are known as False Sunflowers as they look like a sunflower but are not the seed-bearing variety. These flowers are a long-standing favorite of many of the early settlers. They are care-free and produce blooms from late spring to late summer.
They will grow from 12" to 16" tall and from 12" to 14" wide forming a bushy clump. They have variegated leaves with white and green. It will die back in the winter. The flower are a golden-yellow with a brown center. They make a great cut flower and will attract butterflies. It is also deer resistant. Deadheading the spent flowers will extend the blooming season.
Sunstruck False Sunflower likes to be planted in full sun. You can divide this perennial in early spring. Sunstruck False Sunflower likes regular watering so don't
allow to dry out. Plant Sunstruck False Sunflower as a specimen, or as a taller flower
