The Rocket Ligularia is a great plant for that splash of yellow in midsummer to late summer. It has jagged-edged green leaves with yellow flowers that explode on purplish-black stems. It will grow to a height of 4' to 6' and 32" to 36" in width. The Rocket Ligularia is a bold specimen plant that will do best in full sun to partial shade planted in a moist location. This is a perfect for next to a pond, stream, or in a boggy area. It is larger than its more compact variety of Ligularia, Little Rocket.
Use The Rocket Ligularia in larger gardens, as a focal point in a large tub or container. It makes a great cut flower and will attract butterflies and hummingbirds. The Rocket Ligularia is also resistant to deer. This is also a great plant for a Moon Garden.
