Honeycrisp Apple
The Honeycrisp Apple is a high-quality apple which stores well for 5-6 months. It is also a great eating apple. The Honeycrisp Apple is one of the most vigorous and hardy of all apple trees. It shows little damage at -40 degrees. Honeycrisp fruit is exceptionally crisp and juicy. Honeycrisp Apple likes to be planted in full sun.
Honeycrisp is a semi-dwarf variety and is somewhat self fruitful but will benefit when cross pollinated with Lodi or Gala. Fruit trees attract wildlife, birds, and bees. They are good for fresh eating, making jams, jellies, sauces, and pies. Honeycrisp Apple can also be planted in a cottage garden.
