Liberty Apple
Liberty Apple is a vigorously growing variety with a heavy annual production. The skin is red and smooth with a juicy yellow flesh. It is one of the more disease resistant apple varieties. Liberty is highly resistant to apple rust, fire blight, and mildew. The usual ripening time is late September, early October.
Cross-pollinate with Lodi Apple. Fruit trees attract wildlife, birds, and bees. They are good for fresh eating, making jams, jellies, sauces, and pies. Liberty Apple can also be planted in a cottage garden. Liberty Apple likes to be planted in full sun.
