Chicago Apache Daylily
Chicago Apache Daylily has striking scarlet red petals with golden throats and has long slender green leaves that usually turn yellow in the fall. This daylily will grow to a height of 26" to 28" and 18" to 20" wide. Chicago Apache Daylily likes to be planted in full sun to partial sun.
Use Chicago Apache Daylily as a stand-alone plant, for edging, borders, containers, groundcover, cottage garden, or massed in a perennial or landscape bed. Daylilies are very hardy plants and will withstand dry soil to wet soil, poor soil, and slopes. Chicago Apache Daylily attracts butterflies and makes an excellent cut flower. It is deer resistant and drought tolerant once it is established. It is also a Firewise plant. Water deeply during dry spells to maintain good looking foliage.
