Shirley's Joy Hen & Chicks

Shirley's Joy Hen & Chicks is a drought tolerant succulent that has red to burgundy leaves, a greenish center with white fuzzy tips and rosettes. It will grow to a height of 1" to 2" tall and 3" to 5" in width. The parent plant will produce babies, i.e. chicks. It is a mounding and spreading type of plant and is an excellent choice for containers or Rock Gardens. Plant in full sun in well drained soil.

Shirley's Joy Hen & Chicks will produce pink flowers in mid summer attracting butterflies and bees. In fall, the red color will remain and will stay semi-evergreen through the winter. Shirley's Joy Hen & Chicks is a Firewise plant and is deer resistant.
