Green Velvet Boxwood

Green Velvet Boxwood is a hardy Boxwood for our area. It will grow from 3' to 4' tall and just as wide. Green Velvet Boxwood likes to be planted in full to part sun and well-drained soil. The leaves are a glossy medium green color and remians evergreen for the winter. This shrub will not lose its leaves for the winter.

Green Velvet Boxwood is deer resistant and attracts pollinators when in bloom. Use Green Velvet Boxwood as a hedge or planted in a landscape. You can prune Green Velvet Boxwood into globes or squares for a more formal setting.

If Green Velvet Boxwood is exposed to windy conditions over the winter, you will want to wrap it in burlap or spray a protectorate such as Antistress 550 to protect the leaves from drying winter winds.
