Sundown Echinacea

Sundown Echinacea is a colorful addition to your perennial garden. The fragrant flowers have deep burnt-orange petals surrounding a large cinnamon brown button-shaped cone. It has medium, green leaves. Plant Sundown Echinacea in full sun.
This selection is a medium growing Echinacea that blooms from mid summer through early fall. Echinacea are also known as Coneflowers and make a great show when planted in mass. It will grow to a height of 29" to 35" and 18" to 24" in width.
Sundown Echinacea goes well in a mixed flower garden, in a perennial border, or as a specimen. Sundown Echinacea attracts hummingbirds, butterflies, bees, and songbirds which enjoy the seeds in the big cone heads. It is deer resistant and it is drought tolerant once it is established. It also makes a great cut flower and is a Firewise plant. You can even use this perennial in a container.
If you don't cut this perennial down in fall, you will even gain some fall and winter interest from the foliage and it will provide food for birds. Divide clumps when they become overcrowded (about every 4 years).
