Huckleberry Gold Potato is a unique purple skin potato that is sure to add some variety to your potato recipes. Delicious in any potato recipe, this is sure to add some color. Huckleberry Gold Potato is high in antioxidants and also has a lower glycemic inde that other potatoes, making it a great potato for diabetics.
Cut out the eyes and plant in the soil. One seed potato will usually supply about 3 to 5 eyes. Plant in full sun and well drained soil. Be sure to cover up the new tubers that appear at the base of the plant with additional soil or straw. Sunlight on the tubers will cause them to turn green. Huckleberry Gold Potato will grow from 18" to 24" tall and 15" to 18" wide. Harvest in the fall when frost has killed the top part of the plant. Matures in 70 to 90 days.
