Gala Apple #10
Gala Apple matures to a bright overall red color. The fruit is firm and juicy with a yellow white flesh. The Gala is sweet, with a slightly tart flavor. Gala Apple likes to be planted in full sun.
Gala Apple ripens early and stores very well with a shelf life-6 months in regular storage. It produces apples in August. Somewhat self fruiting but greatly benefits (more fruit) when cross pollinated with Honeycrisp or Lodi. Gala Apple is a semi-dwarf fruit tree.
Fruit trees attract wildlife, birds, and bees. They are good for fresh eating, making jams, jellies, sauces, and pies. Gala Apple can also be planted in a cottage garden.
