Persian Slipper Lupine
Persian Slipper Lupine bears big clusters of dramatic bicolor violet-blue and white blooms from late spring to mid summer. Hummingbirds and butterflies are attracted to the lupine flower and deer dislike it. The bright green leaves that resemble palm fronds form a nice dense mound. Persian Slipper will grow from 2' to 3' tall and 20" to 24" wide.
Persian Slipper Lupine prefers cooler conditions, so plant in a cooler area of your planting bed. Persian Slipper Lupine prefers loamy rich, well drained soil. Plant in a border, or a mass planting in a perennial bed. Persian Slipper make a great container planting with a dramatic show of flowers. It is also great for a cut flower.
