Mardi Gras Helen's Flower

Mardi Gras Helen's Flower has vibrant, multi-colored blooms beginning in summer and lasting for 6 to 8 weeks. This perennial will grow to a height of 18" to 24" and just as wide. The flowers range from velvety amber to paprika, mahogany, gold, and yellow. The leaves are medium green and have no change in fall color.
Use Mardi Gras Helen's Flower in the middle or rear of mixed beds and borders, massed in a perennial bed, landscape bed, or in a cottage garden. Mardi Gras Helen's Flower likes to be planted in full sun. It will attract butterflies, is drought tolerant once it is established, and makes an excellent cut flower.
Flowering will be prolonged by pinching back spent blooms. Amend the soil at planting time with extra organic material, mulch afterwards, and water during dry spells.
