Green Twister Echinacea
Green Twister Echinacea is a wonderful and very unique addition to your perennial garden. The fragrant flowers are large and have a purple tinge towards the center of the flower and turns to a light green as it advances towards the tips of the petals with a rusty brown center. It has dark green leaves. This selection blooms from mid summer through early fall. Green Twister Echinacea will grow to a height of 2' tall and 16" to 20" in width.
Echinacea are also known as Coneflowers and make a great show when planted in mass. Plant Green Twister Echinacea in full sun. Green Twister Echinacea goes well in a mixed flower garden, in a perennial border, or as a specimen. Green Twister Echinacea attracts hummingbirds, butterflies, bees, and songbirds which enjoy the seeds in the big cone heads. It is deer resistant and it is drought tolerant once it is established. It also makes a great cut flower and is a Firewise plant. You can even use this perennial in a container. If you don't cut this perennial down in fall, you will even gain some fall and winter interest from the foliage and it will provide food for birds. Divide clumps when they become overcrowded (about every 4 years). #1 $16.99 |
