Dalmation Rose Foxglove
Dalmation Rose Foxglove forms a low growing clump of green leaves at its base. It has tall spikes of pink bell shaped flowers, each spotted inside with crimson red and white. It will bloom in late spring to early summer and will attract hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees. It will grow to a height of 3' to 4' tall and 12" to 18" wide. This variety may need staking.
Use this perennial as a back border in a perennial garden or landscape bed, a cottage garden, or at the edge of a woodland garden. It works well as a cut flower and will even grow in a large container. Dalmation Rose Foxglove is deer resistant. Dalmation Rose Foxglove prefers sun or partial shade. Deadhead the first-year blooms by trimming back to the base of the plant after flowering to encourage overwintering and a second year of bloom. Allow the plants to form seeds in the second year and they may self-sow for additional plants. New seedlings that sprout can be moved in their first season to other locations. NOTE: All parts of this plant are toxic if ingested. #1 $13.99 |
