Corsican Viola This perennial is a ‘Plant Select’ plant.

Corsican Viola is a small mounding flowering perennial that will give you color all season when planted in a cool area of the yard or in a container. It will do well in the sun during the spring and fall but goes semi-dormant in the heat to the summer unless it is in a cooler area. The leaves are a dark green and the blossoms are purple with a small yellow eye. Cut this plant back by half around mid-June.
Use Corsican Viola massed in a perennial bed, as a border plant, in a container, Alpine garden, or a Rock Garden. It will grow to a height of 6" to 8" tall and just as wide. This is a great choice for some midspring color as it will take frosts and light freezes well. The flowers are edible, so use them to dress up a salad or adorn a cake.
